ALCHEMY STRIKES AGAIN!
After a long wait, I am very excited to be replacing our traditional swimwear elastic (rubber) with the new and improved TPU elastic tape.
TPU elastic (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) is a high performing material with excellent durability. TPU does not contain platicizers which makes it an excellent environmentally-friendly component.
TPU comes from the family of materials known as TPE (thermoplastic elastomers). While having the same high performing elasticity as a cross linked elastomer (rubber) it can also be processed as a thermoplastic and can be recycled- YAY.
